Port Connect 2025: Synergy between PTP Non-Container and IPCC to Develop Young Talent for the Maritime Economy

IDONESIA (MPN News) - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) together with PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX:IPCC) coincided with the commemoration of National Teachers' Day 2025, reaffirming their real commitment and strengthening strategic collaboration in supporting the development of young talent through the Port Connect 2025 program.

Carrying the theme "Confident Youth, Connected Ports, Stronger Economy", this activity is not only an educational platform, but also a symbol of synergy between the world of education and the port industry, as well as a manifestation of the implementation of sustainable corporate social and environmental responsibility.

The event, held in the Multipurpose Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Jakarta State University, brought together 100 core participants from students, lecturers, and industry practitioners. The keynote speakers were Dwi Rahmad Toto Sugiarto (Director of Commercial & Business Development) and Sugeng Mulyadi (President Director of IPCC), who delivered a Port Insight Talk on Multipurpose Business Clusters.

This discussion highlighted the role of multipurpose ports not only as cargo transit points, but also as integrated economic centers through the formation of business clusters.

In addition to the insight-sharing session, the event also featured a Thematic Discussion with students from the Public Relations and Digital Communication Study Program and the Port Management and Maritime Logistics Study Program, moderated by experienced academics and practitioners.

This activity is designed to open up space for interactive dialogue, enrich students' perspectives on the dynamics of the port industry, and foster a spirit of cross-sector collaboration.

Furthermore, the company's commitment to education is demonstrated by providing educational support equipment to outstanding students from both study programs. This initiative underscores PTP Nonpetikemas and IPCC's commitment to supporting the younger generation to better prepare them for global challenges.

Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Jakarta State University (UNJ), Dr. Kurniawati, M.Si said, "The company introduction activity, especially the port world, for the academic community in the two departments of Social Sciences and Public Relations and Maritime Transportation and Logistics Management is the main gateway to open students' insights that the world of work is not always about being a civil servant, but a career in a private company can be one of the best choices," said Kurniawati.

"For the IPCC, Port Connect is concrete evidence that collaboration across companies and the educational world can produce a generation that is not only confident but also ready to compete globally. We are committed to continuing to support initiatives that strengthen the port ecosystem while simultaneously providing positive social impacts for the community," said Sugeng Mulyadi, President Director of the IPCC.

"We believe the future of the port industry depends on innovative and passionate young talent. Port Connect is a crucial bridge between academia and industry, as well as a means to foster social awareness of education," said Dwi Rahmad Toto Sugiarto, Director of Commercial and Business Development at PTP Non-Container.

As part of the series of events, students were also invited to participate in an "Add Yours" contest via Instagram Stories, featuring the concept "A Day in My Life." This competition encouraged students' creativity in documenting their experiences during the event, while also expanding the reach of educational messages through social media.

With the Go Green spirit carried out in every activity, which demonstrates the concept of sustainability as a governance principle for both IPCC and PTP Non-container, on this occasion all participants were introduced to the Zero Plastic Waste campaign by providing environmentally friendly tumblers and being able to refill drinking water repeatedly according to their needs.

Port Connect 2025 is not only an educational forum, but also a symbol of ongoing collaboration between ports, education, and society.
