Pelindo Solusi Logistik officially names Bali Gapura Marina, Indonesia's first internationally recognized marina

BALI (MPN News)  – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo through its subholding PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL) has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating the potential of national maritime tourism by developing Bali Benoa Marina in the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) area, Benoa Port, Bali, which is officially named Bali Gapura Marina.

The inauguration of Bali Gapura Marina continues the positive momentum of the groundbreaking on May 22, 2025, where in the future the marina will cover an area of 33,000 square meters designed to accommodate 180 yachts, including 50 superyachts with dimensions of up to 90 meters in length, and will be equipped with facilities such as a Premium Yacht Club, Crew Club , MICE area, F&B, offices, and retail.

The choice of the name 'Gapura', which means gate in Balinese, reflects the marina's role as a new gateway that combines cultural richness with international-standard services.

Indonesian Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the name reflects how each ship is welcomed to Bali Gapura Marina as part of a cultural journey.

"This also reinforces our commitment to placing marine tourism at the center of national strategic projects," he said.

Pelindo President Director, Arif Suhartono, explained that through strong collaboration between the government and the private sector, Bali Gapura Marina is set to become Indonesia's first international full-service marina.

"Pelindo remains open to developing other world-class marinas across the Indonesian archipelago, in line with our long-term vision to strengthen Indonesia's position as a major maritime hub," he said.

Pelindo's logistics and hinterland development subholding also expressed full support for the marina's operations . Joko Noerhudha, President Director of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), emphasized that the construction of Bali Gapura Marina is a significant milestone and part of SPSL's commitment to creating a world-class marina tourism hub ecosystem that prioritizes sustainability and technological excellence.

"We continue to build collaboration and synergy with strategic partners to ensure this marina meets international standards, prioritizes sustainable business, and supports the economic growth of tourism in Bali and Indonesia," he said.

In building this marina, SPSL collaborated with PT Marina Development Indonesia (MDI) to handle the development and management of marina facilities and supporting commercial areas.

MDI President Director, Ulf Backlund explained that the Bali Benoa Marina development project has shown significant progress.

"Since July 2025, Pier B has been completed and prepared to accommodate dozens of ships. The completion of Pier B is not only an operational milestone, but the beginning of a new era for Indonesian maritime tourism. The next phase includes the provision of complete technical service facilities by mid-2026, expansion to 180 moorings, including superyacht capacity, by the third quarter of 2026, and the construction of a waterfront lifestyle hub in 2028," he said.

Estimated to begin partial operations through a soft launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Bali Gapura Marina Project is attracting attention as a case study for Indonesia's ambition to enter the rapidly growing global superyacht and luxury marine tourism markets. Indonesia's geography, consisting of more than 17,000 islands, offers enormous potential for marine tourism with stunning natural beauty. However, until now, Indonesia has not had an international-class marina capable of delivering global-scale service and safety standards . Through this project, Pelindo demonstrates its seriousness in building an integrated, resilient, and sustainable tourism port ecosystem while strengthening Indonesia's position as a global maritime tourism destination .

YOGYAKARTA (MPN News) - PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IDX: IPCM), a member of the Pelindo Group specializing in ship pilotage and towing services, continues to strengthen its commitment to promoting community economic independence through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. Located in Girirejo Village, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, IPCM held an activity titled "Mentoring for Srikandi Girirejo Batik MSMEs," which focused on increasing the capacity and competitiveness of local batik MSMEs.

As a tangible form of support, IPCM provided batik-making tools, fabric, natural dyes, and other assistance to the Batik Srikandi Girirejo MSME artisan group. In addition to equipment assistance, the program also included a series of training and mentoring sessions covering the development of batik derivative products, financial record-keeping, branding and marketing enhancements, and an introduction to business digitalization. The history of batik in Girirejo itself has long cultural roots. Today, this spirit and cultural heritage are maintained through batik preservation and development efforts by the Batik Srikandi Girirejo MSME.

IPCM President Director Shanti Puruhita stated, "We designed this program not only to preserve the batik cultural heritage as a national cultural identity, but also to strengthen the capabilities of MSMEs in developing products, managing businesses, and utilizing digital technology. With continued support, we are confident that the Batik Srikandi Girirejo MSME can become an icon of the regional creative economy that is independent and competitive," said Shanti Puruhita.

The "Srikandi Girirejo Batik MSME Mentoring" program is part of the Social pillar within the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) framework implemented by IPCM. Through this activity, the company seeks to support the government's efforts in realizing Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) Number 8, namely supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, productive employment opportunities, and decent work for all, particularly in the aspects of improving community welfare and empowering women based on the preservation of local culture.

"We believe that the company's business sustainability will be strengthened when we grow together, creating significant economic and social value for the community and the surrounding environment," Shanti added.
