IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Branch Grows 15.65% at the End of the Third Quarter of 2025, Due to Synergy and Efficiency




PADANG, WEST SUMATRA (MPN News)  – IPC Terminal Petikemas Teluk Bayur Area recorded a 15.65% increase in performance in the January – September 2025 period compared to the same period in 2024. As of September 2025, IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area operational performance was recorded at 86,355 TEUs of containers, while in the same period in 2024 it was 74,654 TEUs. Thus, IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area has consistently maintained a positive trend from year to year.

 

"This performance improvement is clear evidence that collaboration between terminal operators, local governments, and service users can drive loading and unloading efficiency and logistics growth in the West Sumatra region," said Erika Sudarto, Manager of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area.


 
The IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area, located in West Sumatra, is a strategic location for boosting logistics in West Sumatra Province and its surrounding areas. This can be seen from the increase in operational performance recorded at the IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area. The increase in operational performance at the IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area was caused by several factors, including increased demand for leading commodities, including an increase in export loads for  Rubber commodities  (20.39%),  Perlite commodities  (45.16%), and animal feed, which increased by more than 100%.


 
Reporting from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of West Sumatra Province, the export value of West Sumatra Province in the period January – September 2025 was USD 2,093.92 million or an increase of 35.97% compared to the same period in 2024. The import value of West Sumatra Province also increased in the period January – September 2025 by 13.98% compared to the same period in 2024 with a value reaching USD 418.47 million.


 
To ensure optimal service, IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area also takes several steps in Human Resources. IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area management regularly conducts physical health checks entitled " Fit to Work " for field workers. Furthermore,  Safety Briefings  are mandatory for all workers before starting work to instill a  safety culture  in the IPC TPK Teluk Bayur area.
 


"The various service improvement measures we have taken, both operationally and through human resources, aim to ensure a more efficient and reliable logistics process, thereby significantly impacting regional economic growth," Erika concluded.
